EC withdraws SIR notice issued to Padma Shri awardee Harekala Hajabba

Election Commission withdrew a notice issued to Padma Shri awardee Harekala Hajabba over a discrepancy in his name during Karnataka's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Hajabba said officials visited his home and said they would examine the matter after the notice became public. The notice was issued as electoral rolls from 2002 recorded his name as just "Hajabba".
