The Election Commission of India (ECI) today met with Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan to discuss the rising number of COVID-19 cases in poll-bound states in India. The two bodies will reportedly hold another meeting in January 2022. Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Goa and Punjab next year.
