ECI rejects Opposition's meeting request, cites protocol

The Election Commission rejected a request from 240 Opposition MPs, led by Rahul Gandhi, citing protocol that meetings occur only at ECI premises. Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were detained after a nine-hour sit-in near Nirvachan Sadan. The INDIA bloc demanded CEC Gyanesh Kumar's resignation over alleged electoral roll irregularities.
