"E-commerce offers the safest way to ensure social distancing, saving lives and livelihoods," Amazon India Head Amit Agarwal said. He further urged the government to allow e-commerce platforms to deliver both essential and non-essential products that citizens need over a "prolonged period". He added it would help people "stay safe" and would simultaneously jump-start MSMEs.
