Economic cost of terrorism highest since 9/11

According to reports, the global economic cost of terrorism, which stood at $52.9 billion in 2014, was the highest since the 2001 attack on the US' Twin Towers, after which the world spent $51.51 billion. The Global Terrorism Index incorporates value of property damage, cost of death and injury including medical costs but excludes higher insurance premiums or city's gridlock.
