Noted economist Dr Isher Judge Ahluwalia passed away on Saturday aged 74 after a 10-month long battle with brain cancer. A Padma Bhushan awardee, she was the Chairperson of think-tank Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) for 15 years before stepping down last month. She is survived by husband Montek Singh Ahluwalia and sons Pavan and Aman.
