Ecuador's government said on Saturday that the country is on "maximum alert" over an alleged assassination plot against recently reelected President Daniel Noboa. "We strongly condemn...any intention against the life of the president," Ecuador's government said. Earlier, a military intelligence report stating that assassins planned "terrorist attacks" against Noboa was leaked on social media.
