The ED informed a Mumbai court that Nehal Modi, brother of fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi, was a "prime co-conspirator" in the ₹6,498-crore Punjab National Bank (PNB) loan fraud. The agency requested that he be declared a fugitive economic offender (FEO). Nehal, held in the US since July 2025, is accused of transferring millions of dollars overseas and evading Indian prosecution.
