ED has returned assets worth ₹952 crore, attached during a money laundering probe, to a Nirma Group unit in the multi-crore IL&FS case. The Surat-based plant of Vadraj Cement would be restored to Nuvoco Vistas Corporation, which has taken over the defunctional company through a resolution process. Vadraj Cement had received loans from IL&FS that were later declared non-performing.
