Wholesale prices of eggs have hit an all-time high of over ₹7 apiece in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, with minor variations in other parts of Maharashtra, PTI reported, citing officials and wholesalers. This comes amidst a supply-demand imbalance in the egg market, with supply of just 1.5 crore per day against winter demand of approximately three crore per day in Maharashtra.
