Uttar Pradesh government has made it mandatory for traders to ensure that all eggs sold in the market have an expiry date on them from April 1, reports stated, citing a government order. Additional chief secretary for animal husbandry and dairy Mukesh Meshram told TOI that eggs will be destroyed or marked "unsafe for human consumption" in case of violations.
