World's top wheat importer Egypt has approved India as a wheat supplier, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal announced on Friday. The development comes amid a sharp decline in availability of wheat in global markets due to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, who are both major wheat exporters. Egypt is looking to import 1 million tonne of wheat from India.
