According to Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Egypt may join the new defence grouping formed by Turkey, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Fidan said Egypt was a natural partner and could join once technical issues are resolved. Under the agreement signed by the three countries, an armed attack against one member will be treated as an attack against the other members.
