Egypt opened "The Rafah border crossing", Gaza's only gateway to the outside world with no Israeli control, for the first time in months. The gateway will operate for three days allowing Palestinians to travel in both directions. 15,000 people have reportedly applied to exit. Egypt had closed it after Hamas, a Palestinian Muslim organisation, seized control of the coastal strip.
