World Meteorological Organization has warned that the impending El Niño will increase risk of extreme weather over coming months. The UN agency said the certainty of El Niño development during June-August was now 80%. El Niño, an ocean-atmosphere phenomenon where surface water along equatorial and central Pacific Ocean remains warmer than usual, will influence global temperature and rainfall.
