A retired Army brigadier and his wife were suffocated to death after fire broke out in their house in Noida's Sector 29 on Friday evening. The elderly couple were taken to a nearby hospital but the doctors declared them dead on arrival. According to fire officials, the fire broke out due to a short circuit in one of the rooms.
