Maharashtra has notified the Electric Bike Taxi Rules, 2025, allowing only electric two-wheelers for app-based bike taxi services. Aggregators must register fleets, meet safety norms, and obtain licences. The move follows a sting operation by Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik exposing illegal operators.
