Electricity bills in Uttar Pradesh are set to increase by at least 10% in June due to the Fuel and Power Purchase Adjustment Surcharge (FPPAS). The 10% surcharge calculated for the month of March will be enforced in June. Officials said the surcharge was being levied to compensate for increased fuel and power procurement costs incurred by electricity distribution companies.
