A state electricity board engineer in Kerala's Kannur was arrested after he allegedly swallowed the money he received as bribe during vigilance department's raid. He was taken to a hospital to see if the notes could be recovered, according to reports. He had reportedly accepted a ₹1,000 bribe to shift an electric line.
