Centre's ₹23,000-crore Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme has received 249 applications, with investment commitments totalling over ₹1.15 lakh crore, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said. The investment proposals are almost double the original target of ₹59,350 crore. "Against production target of ₹4.5 lakh crore, we've received production estimates of over ₹10.3 lakh crore," Vaishnaw added.
