RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said inflation is expected to moderate despite periodic humps. Calling inflation the 'elephant in the room', Das said, "Now the elephant has gone out of the room for a walk, then it will go back to the forest." He added, "When the Ukraine war started, inflation went up, then we immediately avoided negative interest rates."
