Elon Musk quietly buys APR Energy in ₹9,640 cr deal to power Grok

Elon Musk reportedly spent around $1 billion (₹9,640 crore) to quietly acquire APR Energy. The company owns mobile gas and diesel turbine generators capable of generating over 1 gigawatt of electricity. The move is reportedly aimed at securing power for xAI's AI data centres, thereby reducing dependence on grid connections. The acquisition was revealed through regulatory filings.
