Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said he never met with Apple CEO Tim Cook regarding a potential takeover of Tesla or tried to replace Cook as Apple CEO. Musk said this in response to a book claiming Cook called Musk in 2016 about taking over Tesla and the discussions ended when Musk told Cook he would like to replace him.
