Elon Musk's xAI on Saturday issued an apology for what it called its own "horrific behaviour" following violent and antisemitic posts from Grok chatbot earlier this week. It said the incident was caused by rogue "code path update" that made the bot "susceptible to existing X user posts, including those with extremist views" and not by Grok's core language model.
