Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Masood Ilyas Kashmiri, while speaking at an event in Pakistan's Balakot, said they embraced terrorism and fought India, Afghanistan "to protect the borders of this country (Pakistan)". He also stated that Maulana Masood Azhar's family was torn apart in Indian strikes on May 7. Notably, India launched the strikes as part of Operation Sindoor.
