Eminent neurologist Oliver Sacks dies at 82

Eminent neurologist and writer Oliver Sacks, whose book 'Awakenings' inspired an Oscar-nominated film of the same name, died of cancer in New York on Sunday at the age of 82. Born in London, Dr Sacks had lived in New York since 1965. He was the author of several other books about unusual medical conditions including 'The Island Of The Colorblind'.
