Japan's space agency aborted an engine test for the Epsilon S rocket after it exploded and caught fire at the Tanegashima Space Center on Tuesday. The explosion occurred 49 seconds after ignition during a combustion test. No injuries were reported, but the explosion caused damage to the facility. The cause of the malfunction, however, remains under investigation.
