A car was struck by a fuel vent cover that allegedly fell from a United aircraft during takeoff from a US airport, the Federal Aviation Administration has confirmed. While no injuries were reported, the engine part left the car partly damaged. Notably, FAA said the aircraft would have been several thousand feet in the air when the incident occurred.
