Cybersecurity engineer Chris Plummer revealed that scammers are using a bug in Gmail that allows them to get blue ticks next to their names. Google recently started rolling out the verified checkmark feature to reduce spam and strengthen email security. Plummer said while Google initially dismissed his report, it is now taking a closer look at the problem.
