England defeated Sri Lanka by 89 runs in the first ODI at Durham's Riverside. Will Jacks starred with 5/22 — England's second-best ODI figures by a spinner — and hit 46* with the bat. Harry Brook's 67 was the only half-century. Sri Lanka were bowled out for 176 chasing 265. England have now won five of seven ODIs in 2026.
