England's number three batsman Joe Root smashed 2019 World Cup's first hundred, after reaching the three-figure mark off 97 deliveries against Pakistan in the tournament's sixth match on Monday. The 28-year-old became the second player from England after Kevin Pietersen to score multiple hundreds in World Cup history. Overall, it was Root's 15th hundred in ODI cricket.
