A consumer commission in Chandigarh has ordered the EPFO to pay ₹50,000 in compensation to an employee over a 10-year delay in his provident fund (PF) transfer. The employee had applied with EPFO to transfer his PF from an old account to a new one after changing jobs in 2010. The EPFO transferred ₹6.21 lakh to the employee in 2020.
