The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has introduced free life insurance for all PF account holders under the EDLI scheme. Families of employees will receive between ₹2.5 lakh and ₹7 lakh in case of death during service; no premium is required. The new rules also simplify claim procedures and extend coverage during job transitions.
