The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) added 1.69 million net members in August 2022, which is a surge of 14.4% year-on-year, according to the provisional data released on Tuesday. Over 1.46 million new members joined the Employees' State Insurance Corporation-run social security scheme in August as compared to 1.57 million in the previous month, the data showed.
