Chester Bennington's son Jaime Bennington criticised Linkin Park after the band announced Emily Armstrong would replace former lead singer Chester who died by suicide in 2017. Jaime said Co-founder Mike Shinoda "quietly erased my father's life and legacy...during International Suicide Prevention Month". Jaime added that fans are having a "difficult time wrapping their head around" the decision.
