The European Union (EU) has declared Venezuela's ambassador in Brussels, Claudia Salerno Caldera, a "persona non grata" in a tit-for-tat move after Venezuela expelled EU envoy. "The independence and sovereignty of our Fatherland cannot be negotiated," Caldera responded on Twitter. She is likely to remain in Brussels since she is accredited as a diplomat with Belgium as well.
