EU plans social media ban for children under 15

The European Union plans to ban children under 15 from social media, video-sharing platforms, AI chatbots, and online games under a proposed EU Kids Act. Children aged 13-14 may access platforms via parental accounts with strict limits. The proposal, led by EU Commission President von der Leyen, also imposes supervisory fees on tech firms.
