The European Union has rejected parts of US President Donald Trump's proposal to secure peace in the Middle East, saying that the plan departed from "internationally agreed parameters". The EU also expressed concern over Israel's plans to annex more Palestinian land. Trump proposed an independent Palestinian state but promised to keep Jerusalem as Israel's undivided capital.
