The European Union is planning to invite Taliban officials to Brussels for talks on migration, spokesperson Markus Lammert said on Tuesday. The talks will revolve around ways to deport some Afghan nationals who have been refused permission to stay in the European Union and pose a security threat, Lammert added. Both sides previously held 'technical-level' talks in Afghanistan in January.
