EU to release frozen funds worth $19 bn for Hungary

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the European Union (EU) will release funds worth $19 billion (€16.4 billion) for Hungary, which was previously frozen. The amount will include funds from the recovery fund and cohesion funds, she added after meeting Hungary's PM Peter Magyar. Leyen further said, "That is quite a sum, but the Hungarian people deserve it."
