Everester Arunima Sinha receives Padma Shri

Arunima Sinha, the woman amputee who created a world record for scaling Mount Everest, was honored with the Padma Shri award on Sunday. The athlete lost her leg after being thrown off a moving train by some thieves. Reacting to the award, she said "It is a great honor and will encourage persons like me to live with confidence."
