By August 2025, all Indian post offices will accept UPI payments using dynamic QR codes. This upgrade, part of the IT 2.0 overhaul, will enhance service access in rural areas and boost digital inclusion. The Department of Posts aims to modernise over 1.5 lakh branches, supporting the broader goal of making government services faster and more digitally connected.
