While referring to Andhra Pradesh and Bihar getting special packages in the 2024 Union Budget, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, "Everyone's thali is empty but two got pakoda and jalebi." Kharge said other states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Kerala, Rajasthan and Karnataka weren't allocated anything in the Budget. "I've never seen a Budget like this," he added.
