One of the head priests of the Tirumala Tirupati temple, Krishna Seshachala Deekshitulu, said that a Maha Shanti Homam was performed in the temple amid a controversy over the alleged presence of animal fat in ghee used to prepare 'laddoo prasadam'. "Now everything has been purified," he said. "Come have darshan of Lord Balaji and take the prasadam," he added.
