Ex-Georgia Mayor wins Democrat nomination to contest for Governor

Former Mayor of US' Georgia, Keisha Lance Bottoms, on Wednesday won the Democrat's nomination to contest for the post of Governor in the state. If she wins the November election, she will become the first woman and African American to serve as Georgia's Governor, CNN reported. Roy Barnes was the last Democrat to serve as Governor in Georgia in 2002.
