Former Harvard scientist Charles Lieber, who was convicted for lying to authorities in the US about payments from China, has rebuilt his lab in Shenzhen. The lab will research technology to embed electronics into the human brain, which China has identified as a national priority. Lieber served two days in prison and six months under house arrest in 2021.
