Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) leader and ex-CM Omar Abdullah won from the Budgam Assembly constituency. Omar has won with over 18,000 votes, defeating PDP leader Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi. Notably, Omar contested the J&K Assembly elections from two constituencies Budgam and Ganderbal. Meanwhile, BJP has so far won ten seats in J&K, and JKNC has won eight seats
