A CBI court on Tuesday convicted ex-Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy and three others in Obulapuram illegal mining case. The court sentenced them to seven years' imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₹10,000 on each individual. A fine of ₹1 lakh was also imposed on Obulapuram Mining Company. The verdict came nearly 14 years after CBI filed chargesheet against Reddy.
