Indian-British Conservative politician Suella Braverman won the Fareham and Waterlooville constituency in 2024 UK general election. The Goa-origin Tory Party leader and barrister defeated Labour's Gemma Furnivall by over 6,000 votes. In 2023, Braverman was fired from her post as Home Minister for Rishi Sunak government after a remark on immigration and pro-Palestine rallies in London.
