Banker-turned-politician Meera Sanyal passed away at the age of 57 on Friday after suffering from cancer. Sanyal had joined the Aam Aadmi Party after quitting her job as the CEO of Royal Bank of Scotland in India. Sanyal was a member of the party's National Executive and was the AAP candidate for Mumbai South in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
